Regarding a Beseler 23C enlarger: Can I use the same standard lensboard for a 50mm lens, with a 105mm lens? I will be printing 6x9 negatives with a Rodenstock Rodagon 105mm lens and am wondering if I need to buy a separate lensboard for this purpose.

> same standard lensboardYou can, provided the thread diameter is the same (39mm, most likely) but it gets to be a royal pain in the posterior to be removing and installing lenses on the same board all the time.

For lenses I don't use much, I copy the 23C lens board by Elmer's-gluing two piecs of cardboard together with the grain crossed. I cut the pieces out of printing-paper boxes and cut the appropriate holes in them before gluing. They're good and flat and small enough not to flex. Also, one side of the cardboard is black already. A strip of duct tape folded over the front and back edges keeps them from getting dog-eared.
