Personally, I became interested after a visit to the Tower of London in 1995. The story told briefly by the Yeomen Guards sounded compelling and after that day I searched for as much information as I could get my hands on about that particular era in Tudor history. Lady Jane's story and the political machinations surrounding her short 'reign' sparked an interest in British Royal history for me. What about you?

I got interested in Lady Jane Grey's life when I first watched the movie "Lady Jane" two to three years ago. I first got so into the movie, but not I'm really interested to the real Lady Jane Grey. I absolutely think that she has such a fascinating life.

I first heard of Lady Jane Grey because i picked her as my research project in 6th grade. Ichecked a book out of the library that was about her, it's not out of publish, and read it, of course. In 7th grade i saw that same book on the free books shelf and took it. I'm sooo intigued by Jane and her life and have learned a lot about her...!

I first heard of her in "The Royal Diaries:Elizabeth I-Red Rose of the House of Tudor" where she was described as a 'simpering idiot'. Later, I read Karleen Bradford's "The Nine Days Queen" and then I understood her story.

I was about 7 years old when the movie 'Lady Jane' came out. Parts of that movie have haunted my life since. I have studied her life and England's lineage much since. Though have yet to see the movie again. It seems it is nowhere to be found where I live now.

I was introduced to Lady Jane's story through the movie. My family rented it over 10 years ago. We all wept fiercely and the saddness lingered for days. It amazes me how often, even now, I think of someone who has been dead for over 400 years! She was on my mind today and I thought I'd see what was on the net. This is a wonderful site and I love the photos of Bradgate--I hope to visit someday. My parents saw Gilford's carving of Jane's name in the Tower. (Why would he spend so much time delicately carving her name in stone if he didn't love her?) And I have stood and wept at the site of her execution on Tower Green. What impresses me about Jane is her sharp mind and wit, independence, admission of guilt (she did know better but what else could she do?), and the poise with which she met death - all remarkable and heroric qualities - but for a girl of 16, truly incredible. More than anything, I am awed by her unshakable faith in Jesus' death as the sole means and assurance of her eternal salvation. Her last words to crowd are the most beautiful she ever spoke. I look forward to meeting her one day (in the VERY distant future).

I knew her fascinating story trought the movie and, since then, I research some but most books don't even speak in her. the night the movie was on TV I put a new tape in the VCR and start taping, not even knowing what was the movie about. I believe it was faith, something that made me want to tape it. I saw it so many times the tape is wearing out so now I don't see it as much 'cause I'm afraid to lose it!

I too became intensely interested in the Life and times of Lady Jane after watching this film. Whilst not historically correct I feel Helena Bonham Carter's performance was very credible. This led me to research her life more intently and appreciate was a wonderful, rich figure she was that is part of our history. Who knows what she could have achieved if she had lived to a more mature age..?I think I have read everything ever written but if anyone knows any more literature I would be keen to hear. interestingly, near to where I live in the West Midlands near Kidderminster, there is an old manor house dating back to 15th century called the whittington inn , in which Jane Grey is to have stayed for a short time. Her ghost is also said to haunt there.....

I first read about her in the same book as Kathy, when I was about 12. I had always been interested in Elizabeth I, and the more young adult fiction about her, the more I learned about Lady Jane.
