Has anyone tried freeplants.com as a home business?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
I was reading some old contryside posts and found the freeplants.com listing. I went to the website and it looks very promising as a home business. Has anyone actually done it and ,if so, how did it come out?

Renee, I'm just a little wary of this. You'd be surprised (and sickened) by how many plants are now under plant patent protection. It isn't just the Super Dooper Something that someone has spent a lot of time and trouble developing, it is also the basic parent plants. I didn't see any mention of this little road block on the website. I'd check carefully before I either invested a lot of money or hung my hopes on the income. The royalties, and any fines, if you're caught could kill you. Gerbil

Gerbil: Probably wise to be cautious but the site owners doing it. They can't all be patented, especially if they've been on the market for a long time.
