Bolero.

But that's for the PG rated version.

I don't have an answer for you. There is something about the original Fantasia, I remember taking my niece and nephew to see it for the first time (it was my first time as well). We ended up leaving because the kids were terribly antsy, the theater too crowded and noisy. Anyway, I thought I hated it. We now collect all the Disney Movies so when it came out on Video we of course bought it (have to have complete collection) but I still thought it was a watse of money. Oh was I wrong, my daughter loved it, while I was pregnant she watched it daily and I found I actually really enjoyed it. We would lay down together (I needed a nap) and she would watch this movie, I would listen to the music and while my eyes were closed I would see all kinds of color rising and falling to the music. My dreams I am sure were inspired by the music as well. I still enjoy napping while the kids watch it, not that I don't watch it also, but there's something comforting about it that lulls me to sleep. My dear husband doesn't understand it, but now I remember my parents listening to the classical station at night when I was trying to fall asleep as a kid. When they switched to country I asked them to turn it down!!

The second movement of Shostakovich Symphony Number Five. Conductors and scholars fight all the time about the "correct" way to interpret this symphony... it might be interesting to see what kind of interpretation animators give it.

"O Fortuna" from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. Whenever I hear it I think of the first time I saw it, in the soundtrack for Excalibur, and my mind conjures up the image of King Arthur riding back across the land, bringing it back to life. I would like to see what the animators would do with it.

she's actual size

Oh--O Fortuna would be wonderful. Of course it's been used in every commercial made since some PR guy discovered it! :) I'd also enjoy seeing the first movement of Beethoven's 8th symphony, which I've heard described as "Beethoven's joke." It's light-hearted and a lot of funny stuff stodgy ol' Ludwig included.
