Corinthian League Notionless Division 1 Playoff Leg 2

Home Team Result Away Team
Quantum Mechanicals (5)3-3(3) Howdon Harriers
The Stellar Warriors (1)1-2(3) Yelli's Yobs

A quite magnificent game between Quantam Mechanicals and Howdon Harriers ended 3 apiece, with both sides celebrating victory before True kindly explained the mathematics to Softie revealing that 5 is actually greater than 3 so the Harriers would be remaining in the Notionless League.

They would be assured of keeping company with The Stellar Warriors, whose previous star striker, Yelli, was now managing their opponents and used this inside knowledge to beat her former mentor's side 2-1.

Congratulations to Yelli's Yobs and Quantam Mechanicals, who will be competing in the Playoff Final after the Cup Final at Kingston Park.

Sob sob sob, always the bridesmaid, never the bride...

What a game!! Softie - Congratulations to your lads for not letting the pitch get to them.
Roll on the playoff final.
Yelli - your Yobs look good but will they be able to handle the Artic conditions at Kingston Park?

-- Anonymous, June 09, 2000

TRUE! I thought you were a gentleman. How wrong could I be? You can't go saying that Yelli's yobs look good (even if they do!). Her mum might be reading.

Screacher,

Don't worry about Mum - having good looking Yobs is a family trait!!!

True,

I'm sure my lads can hold their own at Kingston Park!! We are looking forward to seeing you there. Roll on the final!!!

Holding your own at Kingston Park is one of the only recorded methods of surviving the arctic conditions, and it still takes liberal amounts of Bovril to be applied to the exposed area to prevent gangrene and permanent loss of said appendage.

The other way is to coat oneself from head to foot in Tiger Balm, wrap yourself completely in toilet roll, cover yourself in flaming Cointreau and jump up and down continuously singing: "Don't you love me baby?" by The Human League.

Should I pull out of the competition?!?

Yelli - you bring the cointreau, I'll bring the toilet rolls and see how things go from there.
But - bonnie lass- this is a serious, we know what is at stake - the premier league beckons. We are ready.
