Doug's got a good answer. I'd love to talk with Jesus and ask him about some of the stuff that's going on around here right now--find out what he *really* meant to say! On a closer to home "visitant," the obvious thing would be to think I'd like to talk with our kids again, but I wouldn't. To be able to have another chance to talk would mean having to face the pain of saying good bye all over again, and I don't want that. But since I've been going through my grandfather's scrapbooks this week, frustrated that I don't know any of the stories behind any of the pictures ,I'd love to have a chance to spend another couple of hours with my grandfather, asking him all those questions that never occurred to me until it was too late. (And let that be a lesson to younger readers--ask your questions now, while you still have the opportunity!

My great-grandparents, I've heard stories about them all my life of how they survived world war I & II in Belgium. My great grandfathers family was taken away to the camps in world war I and he lived and hid in the woods until the war was over. My great grandmothers family was taken to the camps in world war II when the Nazi's stormed through Belgium, but she was in the U.S. by then. I've heard their stories, but I'd like to hear them in their words. Their stories of suffering has made me much more aware and greatful of my comfortable home and peaceful existence.

1.) Marie Antoinette (to hear about her life from her)! 2.) Anais Nin (very obvious). 3.) Collette (when she was younger and married). 4.) My father-in-law (who I never met-passed away years before I married his youngest son). In pictures taken of him as a young man, something in his eyes flies straight into my heart. 5.) Henry Clay (and not just because he and my eldest son share the same birthday or I am a native Kentuckian)!
