ok, heres one. My bees have been "throwing out" brood. All different stages of developement of brood, from larvae to fuly developed with wings and walkinf but pale. Ive never seem or heard of this before, has anyone else? Besides this they seem fine, bringing in pollen, have a honey flow, just dont know about this STAN

I will take this question to the State Beekeepers meeting next week. I haven't seen this one before but I heard the Mennonites discussing something like this before. I'll bring back something even if it is " I don't know"

Stan, I never had this happen, but my first thought is that they have some sort of disease or mites. Have you checked carefully in the hive for signs of trouble.

Do they have enough room for honey AND brood? Maybe add another super?

The only other thing I can think is is that possibly another group of bees got in, and either have taken over your hive and are ridding themselves of the old bees brood, or your bees managed to overcome an invasion and are trashing invaders brood, but that doesn't seem likely.

Was your queen marked? Don't know why they would, but they may have requeened themselves and are either getting rid of other developing queens, or the old queen's brood. Hope you get it figured out. Gerbil

It is the opinion of the "orchard bee keepers" (mennonites) that by moving the frames---you left the brood out of the "warmth" of the brood chamber. They are moving out the abandoned brood and have created a new brood chamber. The overall opinion is---you are ok ! This is a "no evidence" "long distance" opinion. Hope this helps!
