Can't finish encoding whole piece of work?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread |
I'm using Panasonic Mpeg encoder ver2.3.Most of the time I got uncompleted ending with my encoded work. It gave me this message "Missing frame, encoding aborted"after the encoding is done. Why is that so when my original mpeg source runs flawlessly on my media player? Is there any parameter I can set on my encoder to correct this problem? Thank you for any response.

I had this problem, but only with Mpeg files not AVI's. I found the best solution was to drop the frames to be encoded by 1 frame. ie......67843 to 67842. Let me know how you get on.Ric

i have addressed this problem quite a number of times on here, to break it down its like this. AVI's mostly can/have keyframes every 1 frame, mpegs do not so when it searches for a final keyframe and cannot find one, it will give you the message you see. TO FIX this just record an addtional 3 seconds at the end of whatever it is you want. the 3 seconds will then get cut and not your product--enjoy!!

My source is downloaded from the internet. What way can I add 3 frame to my source?

hmmm you could always convert it to an avi this way you can then install keyframes, or somehow find a really short clip and join the two together.

Try the frameserver option on virtual dub to convert your mpeg to avi on the fly to feed it to the panasonic encoder. Just make sure you take the audio out of the mpeg to a *.wav first. The frame server will give you the avi video stream while the *.wav will give you the audio part during the encoding. On my K7 700Mhz the encoding time with the frameserver feeding panasonic is the same.

Reduce the frame by one works for only some mpeg not all.Any way thanx Ric.Is there any software better than ifirmedit to add clips to my mpeg? Changing the mpeg to Avi is not possible for me, as I had only limited space. Is there any more solution ?
