The Hunger Site. You know, the place you can save the world (starving people and the rain forests) by clicking once in a day. I even believe that I4m making a difference, though I4m still not sure if the world is worth saving...

It is blank. I configured IE to use a blank startup page, so it won't bog down my computer when I'm doing a lot of tasks at once.

umm it's the icq website. not sure of the url. I'm not even sure how it got to be the startup page anyway. it just always appears. before it was compaq's homepage.

Mine is my bookmarks file. Very boring, I know, but I don't waste time loading a page that I don't want to read.

Am I the only egotistical one? My own homepage, because I'm addicted to checking the hit counter and the guestbook, whose URL I can never remember off hand. And at work, I have the company's site, even though its boringness is doing my head in.

yahoo.com

No, Zed, you're not the only one. My website is my 'home page' too, so I can check my guestbook.

I love good ol yahoo. - yahoo.com
-- Anonymous, May 06, 2000
Hotmail.. Otherwise if it didn't automatically come on in my face, I'd forget to check it, and people tend get mad when you never reply to their emails.

One more egotistical bastard here... prolefeed is my home page.My bookmark toolbar thingy has been reconfigured with these pages:
prolefeed - duh Webmonkey - an HTMLer's best friend Yahoo! - right at the fingertips Shuttlecocks - www.brunching.com, humor site Spinnwebe - www.spinnwebe.com, humor site digital ink - everyone's favorite journal digital ink cam - everyone's favorite cam US Airways - to easily look up schedules to fly places.

Much as I hate to claim to be as egotistical as the great Eric Egolf, I too have my own homepage both at home and at work. At the other office it's the Act One page, but since it's the Act One office, that makes sense, right? The four pages I check compulsively are all linked off of my site, as is imood. And I am compulsive too.

Mine is Microsoft IE. It was IE, and then when I had downloaded Icq, it changed to mirabilis homepage. So I checked in my IE properities, and I guess when you're installing Icq, it changes the start up page to their offical web-site. I changed it, and put it back as Msn.com which I prefer. You get all important news, entertainment etc.

If you want to know the truth, I would probably have digital ink as mine except for the fact that I'm still at home, and my mother uses my computer every so often. That's the LAST fucking thing I need to happen right now. :)

Um, that was me up there. I was trying to figure out how you can put a link with your name. What I tried didn't work, obviously.
-- Anonymous, May 06, 2000
On IE I have a blank page, and on Netscape it's still got home.netscape.com - That way I can check on the daily news and everything, heh.I need to be more original.
-- Anonymous, May 06, 2000
Mine's hotmail.com. Checking my e-mail is the first thing I do when I come online, so it just makes sense.
-- Anonymous, May 07, 2000
mine is the msn start page (im a member too ;-) ) - which is for IE. the crapscape one I use to check my web page in starts up with my web page (alkalineshock.com) - hey why not advertize my site while im at it

Katie - your method of linking your name would have worked fine, only you put a ' rather than a " after your URL.

iwon.com I have yet to win, but I'll keep ya posted!
-- Anonymous, May 08, 2000
My home page.. I mean.. it's my HOME page.. so why shouldn't it be my startup page and the page I get when I click the little button that says 'home'? Seems reasonable to me.
-- Anonymous, May 14, 2000
On Windows, both my browsers load up with a blank page. On my Linux setup, Redhat.com is my startup page.
-- Anonymous, May 15, 2000
Mine is iwon.com, also.

I have the hungersite, www.thehungersite.com, as my start page too. It used to be blank though, which I like better since I can just go straight to what I want to see. But when I found the hungersite I changed it because I figured it was worth it. At work I have the company web page too, www.islandoutpost.com.
