Nelta's Little Corner of the World/new web sitegreenspun.com : LUSENET : The Christian Church : One Thread |
I have been working for months trying to finish and get my web site on the internet. Finally, with the help of my 15 year old grandson, it is now on but with a few linking problems. For instance, the first article under the *Women's Issues* is not linked correctly as are a couple of jokes and, maybe a *mini story* and about three *Poems.*Not all my stuff is against the Institution made out of the body of Christ.:-) There are good bulletin stuff from the poem section and the mini stories. The links are good also.
BTW I glanced at one thread. Where is Connie? And Lee, please refrain from calling me *Nelta, that evil woman.* God doesn't like that kind of haughty talk.
Anyway, here is my URL. http://members.xoom.com/atlen/
I would like to have made it where you could just click on it but don't know how to do that yet.

Like this, Nelta: " click here " or simply click here .Hopefully that first came out like I intended
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
Nope, it didn't ;-) I guess "" don't do what I thought they would in that context!

Mark, what you sent came correctly to my inbox even if it didn't show up on the forum. I'm still not sure how you did it. However, it shows up *clickable* in my signature when I send a post. Thanks!

The following syntax would do what you wanted it to:Click Here

Hi, Nelta.I checked out your site and didn't know before that, that you were so talented. It's good to see you back.

John...target=blank is not needed... but I know it has a purpose...
What is it? I forgot...
Also, I forgot this too, but there is a code to make the link open up in a different window... do you know what it is? It's nice not to have to "leave" the Forum! :)

Here is my attempt to get Danny and Nelta on the same page!
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
I love a sense of humor, and you've got one, Duane! And without being hurtful.
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
Nelta,I TRIED to look at your website, but it hurts my eyes! Red text on a black background is VERY hard to read! How about reconsidering your choice of colours? The topics look interesting -- what I could make out of them -- but I couldn't even read half of them.
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
Horrors, Duane! On the same page?:-)About the colors. I think they are beautiful. One man had the nerve (:-)) to say if he had a web site he wouldn't put such gloomy colors that look like one is looking into a dark hole. He said he believed in uplifting people.:-)
Anyway, I might sometime try to change the colors. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ben, I want to say more about the red and black on my site. I again looked at the three on Institutionalism and they are hard to read...especially the *De-Traditonalizing Ourselves.* My problem is I don't know how to change the colors. When my grandson comes back over in about a week he will know how to do it...since he set my page up anyhow.Connie, thanks for looking at my site. The articles were all written by me...the poems and mini stories and jokes were mostley Author Unknown.

By the way ~ in the pictures ~ is the one with the horns Danny?
-- Anonymous, May 04, 2000
target="_blank" opens the page in a separate browser window. It is an optional parameter.
-- Anonymous, May 04, 2000
Connie,Deer have antlers (not horns)... usually bigger than the ones pictured (at least, here in Wisconsin... where Danny declined to come preach!).... :-)
-- Anonymous, May 04, 2000
Thanks, Robin, for the information. I'm a 'Bambi' person myself.I guess I did know that deer have antlers, not horns. But I'm not sure about Danny!
I should be ashamed of myself! He's not here to defend himself, but I remember he said he was a big boy and could take whatever anyone dished out. (Not in those precise words, but close).
-- Anonymous, May 06, 2000
I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, Danny.I DID sort of feel guilty in making fun. That's why I said I should be ashamed of myself (for making fun of you).
I don't like to hurt even those who have no such compunction about hurting me.
In Him, whose only motivation is to save us, love us and help us.

Danny,I was in jest... it looks like a really nice one! I knew I violated a well-known rule... Never 'put down' another man's buck!! :-)

Nelta,On the second photograph you posted - it appears to be a boy (your grandson?) in some sort of military uniform holding up the head of a dead stag... Please tell me I'm wrong!!!!

Nelta:You come back to continue to sow discord among brethren with these words wherein you think that because they are far removed from the context and causes of which they refer that you can make it appear that I have unjustly called you and evil woman with these words:
BTW I glanced at one thread. Where is Connie? And Lee, please refrain from calling me *Nelta, that evil woman.* God doesn't like that kind of haughty talk.
Nelta, You know this is not the first time that I have called you an evil woman and until you repent of the evil that you have committed in this forum, which not everyone is aware since for you have deliberately stayed gone long enough for many to be in this forum who do not know what you did and the evil that you deliberately committed and the deliberate lies that you told and the false accusations that you leveled against a brother in Christ in this forum. For now I will not repeat all of that evil work that you did but the documentation is still available in the archives for those who are interested enough to read it. I say all of this without even mentioning the deliberately false doctrines that you perpetuate concerning elders in the Church and other matters. So because you are a deliberate false teacher who is bent upon always sowing discord among brethren and rebelling against Gods duly authorized authority in the Church and thereby rebelling against the Chief Shepherd and Head of the Church, our Lord Jesus Christ, and because of those evil deeds you have committed in this forum that you continue to refuse to repent of having committed though we have conclusively proven in the sight of many witnesses that you have committed, I have justly and truthfully referred to you as an evil woman . And those who are interested can check the archives for themselves. Those who love evil are welcome to embrace you but it will not be me. You will always be that evil woman in the eyes of God because he will judge you for the things that you have done. So, I again call upon you to repent of your lies and your evil of falsely accusing a brother of something of which he was not guilty. Until you repent you are in fact an evil woman and God loves for us to tell the truth. Therefore he does not dislike it when I call you what you have proven yourself truthfully to be in this forum and that is an evil woman and I will continue to refer to you as such because it is simply the truth.
Now I make no apologies for it and I will not make any so any of you out there that do not know the facts in this matter can save your breath. Nelta will be an evil woman until she repents of her sins that she has committed in this forum. Nothing this side of eternity will change that truth unless and until she repents. Therefore, Nelta, I urge you for your own sake to repent and stop perverting the right ways of the Lord. Your soul is at stake in this matter, Nelta.
Your Brother in Christ,
E. Lee Saffold
