New job for me!greenspun.com : LUSENET : Xeney : One Thread |
I'm not sure exactly why I'm posting this here, except that I'm gleeful and want to share my glee with the whole world.I got a new job! It's a slight pay cut, but I'm going to have so much more responsibility, and it's doing what I WANT to do, rather than my current job, in which I do things that I don't mind doing, but that mostly get on my nerves.
I really feel like this is the first step to my actual career, rather than just another in a series of jobs. I'm so excited! Yay!

Yay, Jan! It's always nice to hear about someone doing a job they LOVE to do! It makes all the difference in the world when you have to get up bright and early to go to a job!

That's really cool news. What's the new job?

Congratulations, Jan! I know exactly how you must feel right now, as I've just landed a new job myself. Still the same company, still the same desk, but from maintaining a boring telecom website I've been transferred to being the chief editor of a brand new e-zine. I'll be having a glass of champagne to celebrate later today (about 8 pm central european time). Care to join me, or shall I just make a toast to your good fortune? ;-)

Congratulations! We spend so much time at our jobs; they better be something we like doing.

Man, I am so totally excited. Of course, right now I'm a little bummed because I just told all my co-workers (who I actually like) that I'm leaving, and one of them was really sad, but still -- I'm moving on! New job for me!To answer somebody's question up there, the new job will be editing for a company that produces how-to manuals for a vast array of computer- related subjects. Sort of like the "Dummies" books except not the 'Dummies" books. I'm totally excited.
