Have 2 Sanaan doe yearlings. Had diareha (sp?) last week. Cleared up but never seemed to bounce all the way back. Yesterday one had it's eyes nearly closed. And a damp face below the eyes. Today the eyes are opened more, but the pupils are huge and the eyes are slightly foggy like and still moist on the face. They are not red and there is not visible discharge. They are not themselves. They are eating, drinking, pooping, peeing... Anyone had this problem? I would greatly appreciate hearing from folks that have had this experience and not just guessing because I honestly don't have the time to read them. They are exposed to several other goats that don't have the symptoms.Thank you very much and please don't think I'm rude for trying to weed though my mail. Another time of year I'd welcome the input, I don't know about you, but I can't get enough done in a day lately.

Is there any poisionus plants they could have got into?

I know that everyone gets tired of me saying this but, when was the last time they were wormed and what did you worm with and with what dose. Growing goats out on freshly growing pasture are ripe for the infestation of worms. A heavy worm burden can cause, a goat to get no nutrition, from the worms eating in the guts before the nutrients are absorbed, or drinking their blood, making them anemic, weak and dead. A doe with a heavy worm burden also is a walking cafeteria for all other bacterial spring problems, pinkeye, soremouth, entero, etc. A fecal sample from the vet is a cheap 10$ investment. Vicki
