we have a 9 week old goat who just has not done well ,her twin is fine. she is small for her age {10lbs.} she still will not eat on her own bottle fed from 6 weeks , she did have mites , treated her for that , no fever ,just wont thrive.please include emaill address

Does she have diarrhea at all? Coccidiosis can really set them back even after they recover from it,it leaves their intestines scarred,so they can't digest what they eat well. Ten lbs is very small for her age. Did she get the colostrum as a baby? You could try giving her some probios.

She sounds small for her age. Sounds like maybe a nutrition problem from the beginning during pregnancy. It also might be coccidious.. What seems to work for a lot of folks who experience this type of problem is to give a immune system supplement like Immuno-G, ID-1 or Goat Stress ( goat stress is available from Hoeggers... http://www.goatsupplies.com or maybe supply... can't remember which) This will help boost her immune system. I would also recommend using a good feed ration. Are you still bottle feeding her? She might do better too if you let her drink more milk... not milk replacer. Hope this helps. Good luck.
