Using Paradoxine on a wormgreenspun.com : LUSENET : B's Monster Rancher 2 : One Thread |
This thread will be filed under Beaclons. I think Im addicted to paradoxine. Here are the results from my second monster raised with this tough-to-find drug:I chose a worm as my second subject. Specifically the express worm (worm/???) obtained from the Beastie Boys License to Ill CD. I know that its not the perfect subject for paradoxine, but it has long life, excels at lif and def, and starts out with fairly crappy spd and def stats. Again, I only used 5 doses of the drug at the very beginning of its life. I have more in storage, but I was worried about subtracting more than two years from its lifespan. The stats at four years old are:
LIF - 835 POW - 810 INT - 307 SKI - 850 SPD - 78 DEF 706
Feeding a monster cup jellies after years of raising other monster with tablets is a real wake up call. I had to struggle each week to keep stress down and weight up. Shadrach is four years old now and will transition into a beaclon with out a problem. I have a couple of questions for Beaclon experts. Does the cocooning process have any effect on the monsters lifespan? Should I train my worm a little more before I transform him? I can get one more technique easily, but Im not sure if I should. Basically, should I train my worm to the edge of its life before I transform it, or should I make it a beaclon as soon as possible.

sorry I know very little on raising beaclon as all I have is one gloem/beaclon monster in my whole collection of cds. My question is for shadowman How can you make a MR2 site and not know what a beaclon is?

I wouldn't train your worm until it was on the edge of life. The transformed beaclon starts out at whatever age he transformed at. This only gives him however much life the worm had left. My first beaclon lived for less than two years after transforming. I found that I don't have any beaclons on disk do I have to keep him and combine for a new one. They do start out with as many techs as the worm had when it cocooned, they just transfer over to the beaclon techs.

Rummaging through my old posts... The transformation to the Beaclon definitely does NOT affect the monster's lifespan. I decided not to get another tech and just do the transformation. Shadrach battled well and made it to the hall of fame, but he only lived to 6 years 1 month. Thats with both peaches and no magic bananas. Paradoxine was just too much of a lifespan problem for this monster so I'll have to chalk this one up as a failure and a waste of resources.
