We are trying to reduce redos and would like to have a laser printer hooked into the RIP that would allow us to always print a proof before going to the large format enabling us to check fonts and images without wasting paper and time. I've seen it done on other RIP systems and would like to know if there is any way possible to swing it with PosterShop 4.5 or if we need to upgrade to 5.0.

Yes we bought a A3 Epson that I run out of Postershop/Server through the Epson Driver that comes with PosterShop/Server we proof all our prints to it first it does take about 5 mins to proof at 720dpi this is also good for customer proofs as well as inhouse proofs. Works well
