Michael Demastus.......Remember the "Good Ole' Days??"greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Christian Church : One Thread |
Hey Michael,Do you remember the good ole days of my forum that I ran for a year??
We had some knock down, drag outs, and you my friend were one of the funnest ones.
But I tell you buddy, the activities and attitudes displayed on this board the last few days makes me appreciate you more.
We were able to use sarcasm (without be called "unloving"). We were able to poke fun (without having our spiritually questioned). We were able to take little shots (without calling into question each others motives). We had a "gentlemen's brawl."
My friend, the spirit of debate is waning in these days of "toleration." Now we just all want to "get along" and "be sweet."
This seemed as good a time as any to let you know something I've been meaning to tell you for a while. And that is, I learned from those times. As a matter of fact, there is one discussion/debate we had that still sticks with me to this day. In fact, I think about it at least once as week as I minister in my "country church." (Maybe the term "country church" will help you remember the discussion.)
If you can't remember it, e-mail me and I'll remind you.
Anyway Michael, here's to you.....and the "good ole days."
Your grateful brother in Christ,

Nelta.....Upon what basis does a neo-orthodox theologican determine "if there is a word of truth in the Bible?"

Well Danny I certainly do remember those days. I must admit to being a little unsure of the particular debate to which you refer. You'll have to let me know because I have racked my brain and can't figure it out.As far as the whiny cry-babies who can't take it...they'll grow up one of these days. :>)

I don't know who the whiny cry-babies are but you two are old enough to know what the fruits of the spirit are and when the Lord returns those who have not shown them in their daily lives will be turned away from eternal life with the Father...if there is a word of truth in the Bible.
