I just DLed Virtual Dub, looks like it might work in the ASF-> AVI thought it aqppears quite fickle on what it will take. There are two options for saving AVI files, extended and pure AVI, are there any benefits over using either one of these? I will then convert to MPG and build a VCD in Adaptec.

Speaking of Adaptec, anybody have any suggestions for best quality. I read through the messages, several mentioned M-Filter, I am not interested in spending the $399.00
