What is the best format to record. AVI, MPG, MP2......etc

Depends on your application. AVI has the best clarity in both picture and sound; However, it's a huge file (10min of a/v~1.2Gig). MP1,MP2 are smaller files but they are not as good quality as avi. It's a trade off....
