Philippines Prepared For Y2K-Related Feb. 29

The Philippine government remains vigilant for any possible date-related problems that may arise on Feb. 29, one of the critical dates identified by Y2K experts to cause possible system failures. Year 2000 is a leap year.

"We will monitor any problems that might occur on Feb. 29," said Gerry Doroja, a member of the technical working group of the Philippine Commission on Year 2000 Compliance or Y2K Commission, in an interview with Newsbytes.
