I recieved an email from Dr. Eubanks of Johnson Bible College it reads:

Alumni and Friends:

We have just recieved word that four armed men broke into the mission compound where Cecil and Betty Byrd, both graduates of JBC, were severing in Mozambique. The security guard was critically injured and Cecil was shot and killed. Two of their children, Daniel (17 yrs) and Deborah (13yrs) were with them. As far as we know, Betty and the children were unhurt. Please keep them and their other children Ben, Miriam and Cathy and their families, all in the states, in your prayers.

Also Steve Icenogle, another JBC graduate, and his wife Jennifer who served in Ghana, Africa, were visiting the home of Jeff Hostetter, a former JBC student, and his wife Sherri. Robbers broke into their house and assalted the men. Jeff and Steve were beated badly by the theives, and Rebecca Hostetter was struck on the head. One of the theives pointed a gun at Steve and pulled the trigger, but the gun was not loaded. Please keep all these faithful Missionaries in your prayers.
