Is it typical for large numbers of registration certificates to expire on any December 31st? Or was it more important that this was December 31st, 1999? If the year was the deciding factor then doesn't that make it at least a Y2K glitch? Since the rollover, I have only run into an expired certificate problem once myself, and it was not a problem. Do these expired certificates create much of a problem for other people?

Another reason to use Netscape instead of Microsucks IE. I had e-mail correspondence with an outfit I do business with. (http://www.e-gold.com). They probably will have something on their website about this, soon.

Anyway -- to get new "certificates" you need to update your browser version.

With Microsucks, if you do "continue" with an old browser, your transactions WILL NOT BE SECURE". With Netscape, they will continue to be secure, even though you will have to go through the annoying reminder boxes each time.
