So, if you celebrated, how was your Christmas?

The evening before Christmas I spent with a friend, puttering around the house, baking and creating some incredible chocolate sculpture from the information in my gift to myself, a copy of "The Art of Chocolate". Highly recommended.

That night we spent in ritual, and at 4 in the morning we went for a walk in the full moon and lay staring up at the sky in the grasses of the hills above the town I live in.

Christmas day I woke at the crack of noon, opened presents under the tree, then we slowly dragged ourselves out of the house and over to a friend's place for dinner, where I continued my corruption of her teenage sons by presenting them with the makings for a potato cannon (the look on the face of one while opening a nicely wrapped can of hairspray was flat out priceless...).

And yesterday evening I spent with another friend, talking of old times and changes and life.

So far so good. We have celebrated stages 1,2,3,& 4 thus far. One more to go and it will be complete. its hard to wait 'til New Year's Day. I was just thinking how it has changed as i have aged. As a kid it was one big day with paper flying. Now it is several small days starting at Thanksgiving and this year ending on 1/01. Still not sure which is better. Think the cats still get the most out of it. I have a running bet with my wife on how manyitems have been knocked off or dragged around the house. Tinsel is their friend.
