Many Computer Vendors and Technology Consumers Not Ready Despite Billions Spent on Y2K Remediation, According to Infoliant

Quote:

``Time is running out and it will be virtually impossible for call centers and help desks to handle all the calls that could come in,'' added Weaver. ``The real issue is that of time, time that it will take to determine which product may be at fault and how to find that product's compliance and remediation information.''

most excellent post and link, thank you.

Observation: the contradictory evidence and associated disinformation seem to be dissipating. In these last days, as in these last years, expect the pace to ever increase (you can already feel it here in TB land).

Tonight, while it may not really be bigger, there will be a brighter moon to usher in the solstice. There is an old(new) planet out there coming by to share it's energy (good or bad). Ready or not. Change is everpresent. Would that we could all turn to face the new world with a shared sense of purpose.

If it isn't The World As We Know It, so what? Every day each of us awakes into a world that presents us with surprises, some larger than others. It is never as We Know It, but rather as we Interpret It.

Sometimes we are on, and sometimes we are off. Even if glitches are limited ;-), Y2K will go down in history as a big event.

That's changes in the last quarter. I've been following Infoliant for at least 6 months, and every month has had a few hundred negative changes.

Yes, some of these may have been upgraded later, but who knows how many, unless you do a very detailed study from month to month. Anyone care to volunteer?

Tick... Tock... <:00= ...
