Thank you for the two responses on the warts thing. The warts or whatever are mainly on the toes and are on a banty hen. I don't know how old she is but I think she is a year or so. I have seen scaly leg mites on someone elses chickens before and this is not like that at all. It just looks exactly like warts only I have never heard of or seen such a thing. I didn't want to send it to the soup pot if it is just warts but I don't want the rest of the flock to get it either. If anyone has actually seen this please let me know. I once got a banty hen from the pound, she had warty gross looking feet but she was a pet so i didnt care. We later got two more chickens who lived with her for 2 years until she passed away and the others never got it.She was vet checked because she visted nursing homes in a share a pet program and the vet didnt feel it was contagis.
