CANTON (AP) -- Computer glitches are holding up checks at a county agency responsible for doling out child support.
Problems with the new federally-mandated computer system at the Stark County Child Support Enforcement Agency have slowed support checks for about 1,600 people, said Bob McDonald, child support director.
"It is our top priority to get this moving again, and get back to business as usual and get folks their money," he said.
Other counties may be having similar problems, officials said.
State law requires the agency to mail the checks two days after receiving them from ex-spouses and others required to pay child support. But the agency is two weeks behind on some payments.
"As far as I'm concerned, I have a deadbeat child-support agency," said Mitzi Reber. Reber's ex-husband is paying child support on time, but she is owed more than $700 by the agency.

Shouldn't be any problem to do it MANUALLY. It's only 1600 checks, this time.
