Are Feds Taking Over the Propane Supply????greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
The Kentucky Militia is reporting that the Feds(military) have taken over propane distribution in Western Kentucky and that pending orders will not be filled until Dec. 28. Presumably, the feds plan to get theirs first? Has anyone heard anything about this? This was reported on a short wave program this morning, by a reputable person.

The terms "reputable" and "shortwave" are mutually exclusive IMHO.

The BBC is a little different from some SW operation in a garage in Michigan or Idaho. FWIW, I do appreciate you drawing the distinction to my attention. Thanks.

Anybody have any comments about traveling accross the country Dec 25 through the 27th via automobile? I've heard that there's a possibility of restrictions but I'm not usre if that is just hearsay hype.

Probably just hearsay. I don't expect any real panic type actions to occur until the 28th at earliest. Everyone will be too busy visiting relatives just like you.

Thanks for the info! The link still says that it's been deleted. Was that the end of the thread, or did Info Holding post more?
