As the director of the Miami University Art Museum, Oxford, Ohio, I have been asked to develop a public art policy for the University. Currently, work is accepted and cited on campus through the art museum accession process, the Ohio % for Art Program, the Art Department, and the administration. There are no collecting goals, no thought to long term conservation needs, and little or no interpretation. I would like to find examples of existing policies and guidlines that address these issues.
