Can't get it in the States anymore. Up until this year you could still get it in Alaska, but my sources up there say not any more. Taz...who has 48 cans squirreled away.

doesn't have an expiration date over 4 mos or so but there is a product that doesn't require refrigeration called readycrisp and its pretty good if a little salty.

I have a supplementary Q, on behalf of all bacon lovers: how long will regular smoked, shrink-wrapped bacon stay edible, if pkgs are kept cold and not opened? Surely far longer than the sell-by date suggests. Any thoughts on this?

The ReadyCrisp brand also has a low sodium no nitrate version.. Packages currently in the store have a 8/00 experiation, so maybe a last minute purchase would be ideal. Sue

Most grocery stores as well as Costco types have the Ready Crisp bacon. It is spendy, but if you consider it important comfort food, I guess the price is okay...certainly not much nutritional value vs. dollar spent.
