Hey, why did your dentist veto Tom's cinamon toothpaste?

Too abrasive, I think. And my teeth were much more sensitive when I was using it.

I got a serious allergic reaction to it. All other flavors are OK and I use them all the time.

I'm taking the Tom's of Maine challenge at the moment - I bought the Spearmint flavor and so far, I like it. It's a relief to be off the hyper sweet toothpaste carousel.

Tom's has a Ginger toothpaste. After the initial shock, I liked it.

I've heard of people developing a sensitivity to cinnamon oil. Fortunately, it hasn't happened here yet. We go through more cinnamon than we do salt or pepper.

My mouth never feels fresh and clean after I use Tom's. Do you eventually get used to the lack of minty freshness?

Pooks, I use the baking soda peppermint Tom's, and there's no lack of minty freshness for me - in fact, it's fresher without the sweetness.

I've been using Tom's for over a year, and love it. However, I noticed that my teeth got alarmingly more stained over the course of this year than they usually do. I bought the Crest multi-care this week which is supposed to be good. I'm having a hard time with the taste of it after using Tom's for so long. I'm not sure I'll last, yellow teeth or no yellow teeth.

I've only tried the fennel flavor & it was rough on the tastebuds. I now get nauseated by the smell of black licorice. Also, my teeth never really felt 'clean' when I used Tom's.
