I'm not sure how to train a cat, but I do know it takes some getting used to having an animal in the house. For each of the dogs it took about two months to get used to having them around. Mack was particulary bad at first and it took a good two months to get him into the routine. When we got Brandy I was overwhelmed by how many dogs we had and the house was crazy. After two years of just having two of them, I thought "man, this is easy, lets get another one" And we're still getting used to having three. It's a lot better now than at first and I suspect that in a couple more months it will be old hat.But under on uncertain terms are we getting another one. Three is plenty for any crazy animal lover. Especially three big ones. I've decided that two is the optimal number of dogs, but I wouldn't get rid of any of the three of mine. I love them all for different reasons.
I think it just takes time! But you could check out some pet websites for how to train him. I got a lot of good information from the web and from books.

Elizabeth wrote...I don't think you can!! I haven't trained my cat to do a damn thing. Someone once suggested a spray bottle, but my cat is this freak thing that likes water, so it didn't work all that well. I think all you can do is yell and look scary, but I don't think he's going to care.
