Oh, man, the stomach flugreenspun.com : LUSENET : Xeney : One Thread |
There may or may not be an entry tomorrow. I'm suddenly sick, and violently so. This is totally messing with my schedule -- some things that were already late are now going to be even later -- but I don't even care about that at the moment. I just want to stop throwing up.So you all need to stop talking about apple pie for a while (every time I fall asleep I have cafeteria dreams, icky foods mixed together -- apple pie, jello, gravy, and creamed corn) or I'm going to be sick again!
On a happier note, I have the best dog in the world. He is being totally nice to me and leaving me alone while I'm too sick to deal with him.
Bleah. I'm going back to bed.

I will throw a grand pity party in your honour. I promise. And oh how I -do- pity you. My boyfriend was wretchedly ill as you are right now about two weeks ago. Please remember not to let yourself get dehydrated and rest, damnit. Rest.

I won't hug you.. cuz you might hurl on me.. just take it easy, and get better swiftly.

Oh, get better soon... I know what it's like to be wretching like that and it's not pleasant. Get lots of sleep and try to stay hydrated. Getting dehyrdated is always a bad thing.I'm sick too. Just about everyone in my office has this yucky cold and I fell victim to it. Now I'm coughing and sneezing and wishing I was home in bed.
Get well!

Makes virtual chicken soup and lots of hot tea and sends you all of the good karma she has left -- we've been in short supply around here lately.

Poor Beth! Vomiting is exhausting, & they're right about dehydration too. Plus having water, soup etc to throw up is better than dry retching. Take care, rest up, get well soon.

I guess my bladder infection was so bad I didn't even notice you were sick. Oops. I'm better today, if you don't count the violent orange urine (pumpkin pee!) But my whole office seems to be getting what you have (so, have you been over here contaminating our phones?)Sunshyn

Okay, bladder infection wins over stomach flu. I'm feeling better, anyway, just sitting here drinking my 7 Up and being completely lazy. The whole town does seem to be out with the flu, though, Sue. There's definitely a bug out there. Hope you don't get that on top of the bladder infection, because that would be unbearable.
Thanks everyone for your well-wishes, and I'm drinking my fluids, I swear!

Beth, I had the same thing, and made an appointment with my doctor. By the time I had my appointment, I wasn't spewing various bodily fluids anymore, so I figured I would keep the app. for the Drs. slip (for work) and head back to work. Silly me! I was in 2nd stage dehydration! I was told to drink warm, unfuzzy ginger ale in small sips, eat popsicles, and try not to put anything else in my system. Oh, and the key thing to watch for is not so much if your tounge and inside of your cheeks get dry. It's when the gums around the base of your teeth get dry. If that happens, head to the doctor or hospital! I hope you get feeling better, and that it doesn't hit you as hard as it did me.

Oddly enough, there's a bug going round here as well. but here is London. Nearly everyone I know or have met has had either what I have (coughing, swollen glands, tons of mucus both yellow and green), or what you have. Which nin~o can we blame it on?

Well we have it in Australia too...No chucking, just the trots. Great, no further than 3 metres from the loo. Cramps and tired. Everyone's got it around here.Hope you're feeling better. At least I can eat what I like...except dairy of course. Get R & R...and lots of it.
Me - ? Of to bed with a book.
