CIT: Dangerous Dates in Year 2000

Dangerous Dates were listed by a Mr. Y2K and posted at

Link is no longer good.

This was a very comprehensive listing of dates from 1999 through 2001. Any updates on this?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm on the mailing of many "investment" newsletter promotional offers. One from Michael Murphy of "Technology Investing" had some "teaser copy" (Sept 1) as follows:

But another computer glitch that's been TOTALLY OVERLOOKED will strike down computers worldwide in the next 12 months.
(Emphasis added). BTW, this is not 2000-01-01 he's talking about, but some other date(s).

Any idea what he may be talking about?

From Mr. Y2K's list, I offer the following, but neither seems to be a real show-stopper compared to 2000-01-01 on 2000-01-01 and following dates.
2/28 - 3/1 Leap year date problems.
2/29 Some PDP-11 computers may not boot...

A:

I've gotta tell ya that I think Michael Murphy, despite his fame, is a horses ass. By example, here's a typical quote: "Buy on dips from 5 to 4 with a price target of 125". What kind of dork waits for a 20% dip when he sees a 25-fold appreciation? He does this all the time. I think he's a shill playing into a very gullible crowd.

Best regards, Dave

Dave -- good point about that "buying on dips" bit. I never subscribe to the stock market tip sheets.
I was curious about the possibility of some dates further into 2000 being like a "kick in the head when already down" to the economy after the events resulting from 2000-01-01 itself.
