While this site is geared to the single woman, she has lots of info and is not selling a darned thing. I printed everything. Y2K and the Single Woman There's a lot of good advice and humor. Well worth a read, at least

Excellent Y2k prep website. She also gave a lot of good links including this one.The list you need now,"100 Items to Disappear First in the Panic of 1999".

List of 100 things ... I would add the type of am/fm radio that offers you solar power and hand-crank options to keep it running. I'll be happy to tell you where I got mine if you want to email me.If power goes down, you can use your batteries for other things that have no alternative energy sources. During the huge ice storm last winter, I recall hearing that the radio stations ran all their info updates at the top of the hour, to conserve their generator power and to help listeners conserve the battery juice in their radios. A good gem to have on hand, whether Y2k turns out to be a problem or not. Use it when you're working in the yard/garden, or recreating anywhere off the grid.

Thanks, Roger. Also thanks, DuffyO for posting my site. You'd be surprised how many men I've heard from that seemed to get as much out of my efforts as the women did - I was.
