Upon inquiring at B&H photo and Minox Lab about the difference between the EX and ECX, the answer is just that the ECX is improved. Does anyone know the actual improvements and are the newer EC's better than the first ones produced, if so what is the serial number after which they are improved.

Answers

Guy, according to Minoxers who use ECX, its Minar lens is visibly better then the EC lens, particular in color photos.

Minar is a Leica designed lens, with Leica coating technique, it has higher contrast.
