Here we have the the most outrageously stupid and dangerous statement I have seen in the nearly 4,000 hours I have been studying this issue.

In other words: no requirements, thus, no sanctions, thus, no negative press, thus, less informed populace, thus, less preparation, thus, more deaths.

Answers

Stupidity is evidently a requirment to be a member of NERC. Self- centered, self-serving statements like the above are typical of those in position of power, who wish to remain there, at any cost.

Hopefully y2k will deal them the hand that they deserve.

Perhaps we could post thier names (addresses?) so that they may be thanked personally afterwards.

To clarify my previous post: The NERC statement conveyed a stupid and dangerous attitude or position. The statement itself referred to the attitude/position.
