I want to know that it is possible to save vcd format to other multimedia format such as MOV, QT, AVI, MPEG and so on. If it is, how can I do?

VCD is in mpeg format by definition. To convert this to other formats, you must first split the mpeg system into audio and video streams (use mpgsplit), then decode the video stream into a group of frames (use mpeg2dec) and decode the audio stream into a .wav format (use kduplay). Now you have raw data. This must be re-compressed into one of the formats you listed. I have no idea how to do this. Regarding QT and MOV, you'll have to buy quicktime software. AVI is likely the same, contact MicroShaft or Intel. As if this weren't tricky enough, if the VCD contains many mpeg files instead of one, you would want to concatenate these into one file before re- compressing. Good luck!

Yes. You can use a variety of software. Some of which include, XING MPEG Encoder, Apple QuickTime compressor, RealVideo Tools, etc. Mind you theses programs are expensive. Converting a MPEG to AVI is not worth it. Usually from MPEG to QT/RealVideo. How to use these tools would require a lengthy explanation. However you can purchase the boxed editons of the software(best way if you never used it before) and read the manuals. I think it might be better to go from MPEG-1 to MPEG-2 but it is your choice
