Well it seems that after months of searching, the Olympus D-400Z is my best digital camera solution. The only problem is, I can't find any mention of an AC adapter input for this camera. Is there such an input? Constantly having to worry about battery power consumption is stress I could live without.

Yes, the D400Z has the a/c slot on the side along with video out and the pc connection.
