The well water that I use in my darkroom contains a certain substance that discolors my prints. They end up having a slight salmon color cast to them. I think it must be either the sulphur reacting to the silver in the paper (rc) or the iron staining the prints. Does anyone know what kind of filter I could use on the water line in my darkroom that would filter out the unwanted minerals and that I could use in combination with a print washer that hooks up to the tap?

Hey Evelyn and Dave,

I have no idea how to help. In fact all I can say is make your prints scan them into a computer @300 dpi, do any level/contrast/ color balance adjustment in Adobe Photoshop, and print it out on photo quality paper (Epson Stylus is personal fave)

Mind you, I've been shot down for muttering those words to other photographers out here...

At any rate I hope you are doing well in the herb industry. It's nice to know a photographer that doesn't think the only spices on Earth are salt and ketchup (don't ask)
