The merits of Kurt Vonnegutgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Literary Science Fiction : One Thread |
I noticed, through some error on you part undoubtably, that Kurt Vonnegut was left off your list of "literary science fiction". Vonnegut is a master satirist and writes with a certain flow that can only be described once it has been read. Perhaps that is you problem, that you need to read Vonnegut. If that is the fact, then I would just ask how you could start this page without first having read him! That is all for now.

You are certainly correct. Vonnegut is one of the primary figures of literature in the 20th century (and I don't restrict this to science fiction), and certainly deserves a spot here. Please feel free to contribute a book review or an essay and I'll be glad to publish it on my site. I'd like to see a collaborative effort in the construction of this page. I know that many will not agree with my "Top Ten" selection, either, so you can also contribute your own top ten in the comments section.By the way, I love the nifty moniker. I like to read it as Homer...D'OH!...MMMMMMMAOL.
