Prior to my getting the 420, I saw a detailed explanation about how to convert the single, 3-volt battery setup into a pac using 2 AA batteries. Unfortunately, it now seems lost in cyberspace. Would appreciate any help.

Answers

You can use two 1.5V cells in series (alcalines recommended).

Even better is a 3.6 V Lithium battery with a silicon diode (like the 1N4148) in series. I have converted all my packfilm cameras like this.
