I just recieved several decal sets from Champ...HO roadname set HN-87 contains the name "Orange Blossom Special' in white script, about 1/8" high. Hope this helps.

I am presently working on SAL, ACL, A&EC, A&NC and SOU, don't have much info on SCL (sounds military) If you could send some CRISP black & white artwork (photocopies) I could possibly scan or alter a font. Wayne Gibson P.O. Box 1694 Morehead City, NC 28557

Torin, years ago Champion Decal Company out of Minot, ND produced SCL passenger car decals, and there were several car names included on the sheet as well as the SCL logo. I don't know if they still produce this set, but its worth a try. They advertise regularly in Model Railroader and are very nice people to work with. Good luck!

Not sure about the availability of SCL passenger decals although I haven't heard any of the hands-on modelers say lately that any are out there. The Society has talked about these as a possible project but how many others would want some?? Speak up.

The Orange Blossom Special ran on the Seaboard Air Line until 1953, not Seaboard Coast Line (which was created in 1967). Its cars did have the train name in script in the 20s and 30s. There are no decals for this lettering although the artwork is already around since the same script name was used on boxcars. Again, how many takers would there be for an OBS set??

I don't have an answer, just a related question. Are the decals you're looking for specifically for the Orange Blossom Special trains? My dad has a bunch of Pullmans that he says he just needs the decals for, and I would sure love to surprise him with them. He's still kind of living in the 19th century and doesn't think computers are really good for all that much. Sure would shock him if I found the decals he's been looking for on the internet! I don't know exactly which cars he needs them for, but if you find out where they're available, please let me know. I'll try to check back here, too. One last note, he says that the decals have a special stylized writing on them, if that helps. Thanks!
