I can't believe they are publicizing these results. They are not good.

Slides 10 and 11 are of particular importance, wouldn't you agree?

Can you say fuel shortages in a major way?

I think I am interpreting these graphs correctly.

45% of the respondents are not yet in the remediation phase in their business information systems & assoc. software

60% of the respondents are not yet in the remediation phase in their embedded systems

Am I reading these right?

James: What I find especially interesting (horrifying) are their descriptions under Glossary. Too many reports of systems failures for my comfort. Thanks for the hard info. Linda

Thanks James - Wow. The Survey Results are breathtaking. This is some of the worst hard info I've seen on a Critical Infrastructure. Wish there were starting dates in their collation so we could get a better idea, or is it necessary? Some of those reports show clearly that major systems will be in a compromised state.

James,

>45% of the respondents are not yet in the remediation phase in their business information systems & assoc. software
>60% of the respondents are not yet in the remediation phase in their embedded systems

Note that those figures were as of the September 1998 survey, so 45% and 60%, respectively, of the respondents were not yet in the remediation phases.

Linda,

Where is the "Glossary" to which you refer?
