On much reflection, I have decided to remove the entire previous thread.

The reason: The information that was posted, if true, was invasive of privacy, especially in the context of potential stalking. The information, if false, rates at the same level as a "troll" in USENET newsgroups.

I welcome any comments, and will answer them ASAP (both privately via email, and in this open forum).

Hello Gilded. It's been a long time! Where have you been? The post in question was the complete lineage, vital statistics, and net worth of our good friend George. It was posted by "a person" and looked authentic, though I just glanced at it briefly. All I can say is I didn't post it - so it must have been true. I think Thomas was wise to remove it.

In case anyone is wondering: No, it didn't mention his penis size.

The posting contained specific information on where George lives; that is the main reason I removed the post. Furthermore, the posting was totally anonymous, so I couldn't conduct a private email exchange to discuss *why* the poster included George's address.

The posting also included the net worth of George's family; at worst, it seemed like an invitation to a kidnapping, at best, an invitation to stalking.
