Viewing images thru digital camera viewer is sometimes inconvenient. Does anyone know of a palmsize portable viewer that would read from flashcards or floppies? This way I could leave the camera at home, and take my portable viewer along to show latest pix.

I'd actually heard of someone working on something like this, but it's not likely to be cheap. (Maybe not much less than a low-end camera with an LCD display.) Keep hoping. If it happens, we're sure to find out about it!
