In another forum, Cynthia Beal, of Eugene, Oregon, said, "There are hundreds of little cells of y2k community preparation forming all over the county. Many are organic, growing out of church, neighborhood, and personal interest groups, and stimulated by attending the LCC class. Nothing is coordinated."The purpose of this thread is to help "bring a little order" to that condition, no matter where we live. It's purpose is to act as a central listing place to make it easier for everyone to navigate and contact others working, or willing, or wanting to work on y2k in the community.
To add yourself to the directory, just:
- Copy the "form" below the line off the screen;
- Scroll down to the bottom of this page and click the link that says, "Contribute an answer to Community Directory";
- Fill in your email address and name in the text entry area;
- Paste the "form" into the text entry box, fill it in, double-check it, and click "Submit."
You can of course add any other perinent information you'd like to. The form is just a basic guide intended to help create uniformity. But please bear in mind the purpose of this thread is to create a directory. If, for instance, you have an announcement about something you or your group is doing, please create a new thread at the main level of this forum for that purpose and "file it" under the "Announcements" category (by clicking the "Ask a Question" link - please read the brief instructions in the "About" section reached by clicking that link on the main level). We'd like to keep the information in this thread as compact as possible, and limited strictly to contact information. The software will automatically insert your email address, so there's no need to include that in your listing. Anyone listed here can be contacted by clicking their email link.
