Does anyone know business sectors that heavily use software that looks a year into the future? My understanding is that a lot of bookkeeping and accounting software will start having problems in January of 1999.

Besides the insurance industry, who else will this be a problem for? This will be our first major clue of non-compliance from all these businesses who say they'll have the problem fixed by December 31, 1999. This is also going going to raise public awareness of Y2K.

Where should I be looking?

No need to apologize Kevin. It was my first time posting in here too. Welcome on board to the Y2K search for truth, justice and continuation of the American way, sort of. Youll find some folks here still need to re-read their Constitution, not to mention the other great literary works. You have to dig, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, but theres some really great posts down some of the question threads. Some not so great. Happy hunting!
