I need to purchase a scanner ASAP and am debating between the Nikon 2000 and LS-30 due to cost considerations. I am a freelance newsphotographer working for agencies and also want to output prints for PR clients, etc. on an Epson 700EX. What have your experiences been with this new equipment? What are the other considerations that affect output for 24 bit vs 36 bit other than shadow detail and underexposed negs? Are there any other brands of scanners on par that you have had good experience with in these price ranges? Thanks for any imput you want to leave!
