Isn't the documentary on The Learning Channel (TLC)? It is hard keeping track of all the documentaries...

Since TLC is a satellite/cable-specialty channel, the broadcast times should be the same throughout North America: Sunday (the 27th) at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) and repeated 3 hours later at midnight (ET).

The scenes with the narrator (Bernard Hill, who played the captain in the film) were shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The Brockton Point Lighthouse is visible in some shots, as is the shoreline and cityscape of the city (as seen from Burrard Inlet). It should be noted that Vancouver is the third- largest film-making city in North America (after Los Angeles and New York City) so the choice of locale isn't as strange as it may seem.
