Tabitha? {Waving blonde}greenspun.com : LUSENET : TitanicShack : One Thread |
Have any of you noticed the woman waving from Titanic when the ship leaves Southampton? She is blond, wearing a hat, and leans while she waves. You can see her both in the beginning "flashback" scene and during the actual leaving port scene. Anyway, I am somewhat convinced that she is the actress who played Tabitha on Bewitched. Does anyone else think this?

I know both actresses you mention, the girl in Titanic and Tabitha from Bewitched but I've seen a TV interview with the "grown-up" Tabitha and she doesn't look like that girl in the beginning.

I might be wrong, but isn't it Cameron's own daughter, Josephine? I know for a fact that she was included among the extras waving from the ship.

No Dan, I don't think that that girl was Josephine, isn't she only 5 years old or something? The girl shown on the ship waving was a teenager at least, though I can't place her age.

Isn't she also the one that Kate Winslet sees on the stern as it rises, then falls down?

Yes, you're right, Kelly.

It isn't the woman at the end that I'm asking about, although you can see her when Titanic leaves port. As far as I can tell, this woman is only seen during the leaving port scene, although in the part that is shown twice in the movie. She looks like she's in her late 20s. Maybe it's just my overactive imagination!

You all are talking about two different women. There was a blonde waving as the ship was leaving port, but I don't remember seeing her again. The other blonde danced with Fabrizio at the 3rd class party, and she was the woman Rose looked at when they were holding on to the stern. The book goes into more detail about her, and I also noticed early in the movie that she and Fabrizio exchanged admiring looks as they passed in the hall when Jack and Fabrizio were on the way to their room in 3rd class.
