My roommate was going to tape the stuff on the expedition for me tonight, but he said he searched and searched and couldn't find anything! Did I have the wrong night? I'm a tad distressed about missing it...okay...I'm freaked about it, actually...

Don't! The sound had some crap on, so I don't know how it sounds on recorded tape. It wasn't that much you missed. Make sure you watch the Discover Channel this Sunday for the 2 hour special and live at 8pm ET and 10pm ET. Most likely 90% of the today documentary will be shown again.

Yes, it was tonight; overall, a very well-done documentary for a TV news magazine.

I did notice that some of the footage was recycled from previous documentaries (i.e. the shots of the initial rush of incoming water, {the volume of} which looked somewhat slow).
